Below is a standard workflow of how CheckinAsyst works with the Cerner interface. This can be customized based on your organization’s priorities and unique requirements.
Front office personnel creates a new patient appointment in Cerner Revenue Cycle
Scheduled appointments are imported from Cerner Revenue Cycle to CheckinAsyst
Patient either pre-registers in advance or check-ins using a kiosk or iPad
Patient provides their demographics and clinical information using CheckinAsyst
Patient completes clinical assessment forms and electronically signs consents using the check-in mode
Patient pays co-pay and any outstanding balance either during pre-reg or via credit card swipe. Choice to pay by cash at the front desk
Demographics and payments are recorded in Cerner Revenue Cycle. Clinical data is updated into the corresponding fields in millennium/PowerChart and as a PDF
