CheckinAsyst is listed in the Epic App Orchard. With bi-directional integration with Epic EHR, CheckinAsyst can seamlessly fetch and send back clinical, demographic, and payment data to streamline the patient intake process and improve practice efficiency.
Below is a standard workflow of how CheckinAsyst works with the Epic EHR. This can be customized for your organization’s unique needs.
Front office personnel creates a new patient appointment in Epic
Scheduled appointments are imported from Epic to CheckinAsyst
Patient initiates the pre-visit registration process using their own device or arrives at the facility to start the self-check-in process on a hand-held device or kiosk
Patient updates their demographics and clinical information using CheckinAsyst
Patient completes clinical, consent and assessment forms and electronically signs on iPad/kiosk screen
Patient pays co-pay and outstanding balance via credit card swipe at the iPad/kiosk. Choice to pay by cash at the front desk
Demographics, payments, clinical data, and pharmacy preferences along with updated documents are sent back to Epic
And, done!
